The Audio Engineering Society, or AES, is an international society of professionals dedicated to audio technology.

The society is well-known for its Journal of the Audio Engineering Society, a peer-reviewed publication focusing on audio technology, including news, reports, and features on a variety of audio and recording-related topics and events.

AES holds conventions twice yearly, one in the United States and one in Europe. These meetings incorporate a number of educational opportunities, including seminars, reports, and workshops, as well as a massive exhibition of new products in the audio technology and recording fields.
