September 27, 2000Alesis announces the eminent release of v. 2.0 of ADAT/EDIT, the company's PCR card and editing software package that gives studio owners and musicians the ability to seamlessly integrate any device with ADAT Optical with a computer. ADAT/EDIT 2.0 lists at $399 MSRP and will be available in November.
ADAT/EDIT features 24-bit support on Windows and Mac platforms, zero latency monitoring for real-time recording, and ASIO 2.0 drivers (Windows and Mac) for greater compatibility with other ASIO-based software programs such as Cubase.
ADAT/EDIT, the editing software included in the package, was co-developed by Alesis and Emagic, a leading audio software developer. The software imports and exports AIFF, SDII and WAV files. The software also enables the user to control all aspects of the transport via ADAT Synchronization technology developed by Alesis. Editing tools include cut, copy, paste and reverse. Advanced digital signal processing features in the program provide reverb, delay, EQ, time compress/expand, pitch correct, normalize, gain change, removal of DC offset and sample rate conversion. ADAT/EDIT software also supports MIDI sequencing for recording, editing and playing MIDI data within the same program.
Current ADAT/EDIT users will be able to download 2.0 directly from the Alesis website. For more information, visit their web site at www.alesis.com. |
