Audient to Unveil 5.1 Monitor Controller at AES
September 29, 2000UK signal processing specialists Audient announces the introduction of a next generation surround sound monitoring controller, the ASP510, designed to allow recording studios and post production facilities with stereo consoles to operate in the increasingly multi-channel world. The ASP510 can be used with any stereo console to provide comprehensive 5.1 monitoring and mix capabilities, is easy to install, and straightforward to use.
The ASP510 supports three 5.1 and three stereo sources, features 8 inputs from console bus sends, and provides 8 outputs to recorders (5.1 and stereo). Additional features include switchable Encoder/Decoder insertion connections, 6 speaker outputs, individual speaker cut/solo function, individual speaker level trims, guide track input, and user definable monitor reference level.
State-of-the-art DCA gain control elements are used throughout, and an ergonomic, stylish remote control unit is standard. Easy system integration is accomplished through a 1U rack mounted interface.
