DSP Media Announce Development Partnership with Rocket Network

Post-production Systems Manufacturer and Distributor Plans to RocketPowerd Future Products

September 27, 2000

DSP Media, Inc., manufacturer and distributor of high-end audio post-production systems, announced today they have entered into a definitive software development agreement with Rocket Network, a San Francisco-based Internet infrastructure company that has pioneered audio collaboration and post-production project sharing technology.

In this agreement, DSP Media will develop future software releases to integrate into their Postation II digital audio workstation that will allow users to logon to the online production and collaboration capabilities of Rocket Network. The integration will allow different manufacturers' sequencers and audio editors to collaborate simultaneously on a given project. Currently rounding out the list of Rocket Network's development partners are Emagic, Steinberg, Cubase, Euphonix, Digidesign (Avid), Waveframe and DSP.

"This alliance will help establish DSP as a leading force in Internet project sharing for audio post-production. DSP will start work on integrating Rocket Network's API into our DEP editor and perhaps the TEAM network and AVtransfer packages," said Andrew Wild, CEO for DSP Media. "One of the big advantages this brings to DSP is that it will enable our users to share projects via the Internet with Pro Tools users, something we have never been able to do in the past."
