Digidesign Releases Version 2.3 MasterList

September 26, 2000Digidesign today announced the
upcoming release of version 2.3 of MasterList CD, its popular CD mastering
software program, which produces Red Book standard CD-DA masters. Version
2.3 adds support for two new CD recorders, the Yamaha, CRW8424SZ, and
Plextor PlexWriter 12/4/32. MasterList CD version 2.3 implements 12x write
speed with the Plextor PlexWriter, allowing a full 650 MB CD-ROM to be
written in just over six minutes. The 74-minute record limit has now been
removed and support for popular 80-minute media has been added. Professional
quality discs with up to 74-minutes of data per CD-R will be supported.
MasterList CD version 2.3 is a host-based application that transforms
a Power Macintosh into a cost-effective, professional CD mastering solution.
The software allows you to use a compatible CD recorder and approved Power
Macintosh computer running Apple System Software v9.0.4 to write at speeds
up to x12 without creating an image file first. MasterList CD version
2.3 also supports all Digidesign PCI audio systems for optional higher
quality analog and digital output, including Pro Tools|24 MIX and MIXplus,
Pro Tools|24, PCI-based Pro Tools III, Digi 001, and Audiomedia III.
MasterList CD 2.3 will be available worldwide at (INT'L US) $495. Upon
release, MasterList CD v2.3 will be available as a free download from
the Digidesign website to all registered users of MasterList CD v2.1 or
