Dynaudio Acoustics Announces BM 5.1A System

September 27, 2000Dynaudio Acoustics is showing the
new BM5.1A Complete 5.1 Mixing System comprised of six active Dynaudio
components. "The BM5.1A is a revolutionary matched set of 5 powered
nearfield monitors and subwoofer offering the ultimate mixing environment
for multichannel audio," commented Ed Simeone, Managing Director of TC
Electronic, distributor of Dynaudio Acoustics' product line in North
America. "It's full range extended bass response make it the perfect
system for mixing multi-channel audio, particularly for post production
facilities, broadcast, commercial studios and project studios."
The BM5.1A Complete 5.1 Mixing System consists of five matched dual 100W
amplified BM6A nearfield monitors and one active BX30 Bass Extension
System. The BM6A monitors use a 7" woofer with 3" voice coil and a 1'
softdome tweeter powered by two high performance discrete MOSFET amplifiers
rated at 100W each. The BM6A features an electronic 4th order
phase-aligned crossover with a crossover point at 2.2kHz. The Systems
active BX30 Subwoofer bass extension system uses a 12" woofer with 4"
voice coil in a ported cabinet powered by a 130W amplifier controlled by
three precision low pass networks calibrated to meet internal standards,
and designed to meet Dolby, DTS and THX criteria for theaters.
