Focusrite Announces New Platinum and
Red Range Pricing for North America September 25, 2000Digidesign exhibits the Focusrite
line of UK manufactured analog signal processors at the September 2000
AES tradeshow in Los Angeles. Among these are the Platinum, Red, ISA and
Blue Range processors. Focusrite, along with exclusive North American
distributor Digidesign, has announced significant price reductions for
North American markets on Platinum Range products including VoiceMaster,
ToneFactory and ComPounder. The entire Red Range of products will also
carry new pricing.
Platinum Range products were first introduced in 1998 and have quickly
become the choice of countless project studio owners and serious recording
musicians requiring Focusrite sonics and quality in a price competitive
package. VoiceMaster and ToneFactory products are mono "channel-strip"
style units that provide Class A mic/line preamplification as well as
a number of audio sculpting tools specifically engineered for vocal and
instrumental work, respectively. ComPounder is a Class A dual-mono/stereo
compressor/limiter that also includes gating and expansion functions.
The TEC award-winning Red Range product line was first introduced by
Focusrite in 1993. These solid-state, transformer based products with
their distinctive burgundy colored aluminum chassis', have become legendary
in the industry for their characteristic sonic detail and warmth. Red
Range consists of five products and includes two and four channel microphone
preamplifiers, a dual channel EQ, dual mono/stereo compressor/limiter
and a combination mic-pre/dynamics processor.
Pricing on Platinum MixMaster and ISA Range products remain unaffected
by this change. For more information, visit their web site at www.focusrite.com. |
