September 24, 2000SADiE, designer and manufacturer of the renowned digital audio workstations, is introducing the Edit Slate Integrated LCD work surface display at the 109th AES Convention, held from September 22 to 25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Booth 863. The SADiE Edit Slate combines a high-quality LCD display and a touch-sensitive graphics surface, allowing the user to work directly on the LCD screen with a pen controller, eliminating the need to use a separate mouse and conventional display.
"The Edit Slate work surface display will provide SADiE customers with an easier method for editing as well as the ability to produce smoother fades," says Joe Bull, managing director of SADiE. "Additionally, a pen-based interface provides greater accuracy and the delay between input and processing experienced when using mouse control is no longer a factor."
The SADiE Edit Slate is a 1024 x 768 active TFT screen with a highly durable scratch-resistant glass surface, which includes a PCI digital video card with additional monitor output. The LCD display and graphics surface features pen buttons for click, double-click, right-click and delete options, and any SADiE hot keys can be assigned for all features. The screen responds instantly to the pressure from the pen, which is maintenance-free and does not require batteries. Edit Slate features 2,580 lines per inch tablet resolution and 262,133 colors in 18-bit. The 10.7 x 8.0 inch tablet adjusts to any angle. For more information, visit their web site at www.sadie.com. |
