September 22, 2000Solid State Logic, a leader in digital and analogue consoles for the music, broadcast, post and film industries, will showcase the SL 9000 J Series SuperAnalogue console at the 109th annual AES show, held from September 22 to 25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Booth 701. The latest software enhancements will be featured with an 80-channel SL 9000 J Series available for demonstration throughout the show.
"Now with over 150 sales recorded, the SL 9000 J Series SuperAnalogue console is the standard by which all other analogue consoles are judged," says Niall Feldman, Director of Product Management for Solid State Logic. "In use worldwide for film scoring, tracking, music recording and mixing, the SL 9000 is also especially suited for DVD production, as its audio performance exceeds the requirements of all agreed standards including 192kHz DVD and SACD."
The SL 9000 J Series to be featured at AES includes the new Version 4.3 software package, which in addition to other new features, enhances the interface with Sony 9-pin control protocol allowing the SL 9000 and Pro Tools machine control functions to seamlessly integrate. Operators can now shuttle machine position from either a Pro Tools system or the SL 9000. Allied with SSL’s unique vari-speed automation, the enhanced control offered by V4.3 software provides new levels of speed and precision to the powerful and popular combination of Pro Tools and SL 9000 systems.
The SL 9000 J Series featured at the AES will be delivered to top composer Mike Post Productions in Los Angeles after the show ends.
