Sonorus Announces NemeSys GigaSampler Support for STUDI/O September 24, 2000Sonorus, Inc. announces STUDI/O driver support for the popular GigaSampler/GigaStudio PCbased sampler from NemeSys Music Technology.
The GSIF protocol supports low-latency, multi-channel I/O, which is a must for professional audio applications, and for samplers in particular. With STUDI/O, up to 16 discrete digital outputs can be generated simultaneously, and can be routed to digital audio mixers or recorders while remaining in the digital domain. STUDI/O's GSIF support is multiclient, which means that STUDI/O can utilize more than one protocol simultaneously. In fact, STUDI/O can operate using up to four different protocols: GSIF, ASIO, EASI and Windows MME, all at once. This makes it possible to run GigaSampler or GigaStudio alongside most multitrack editing programs such as Cubase VST, Logic Audio, and Cakewalk Pro Audio.
The award-winning STUDI/O card is the flagship product of Sonorus. It's a complete 16-channel digital audio interface on a single PCI card. It uses two pairs of 8-channel ADAT-compatible optical interfaces to connect to any ADAT optical gear such as mixing consoles, outboard AID and D/A converters, and of course, ADAT digital audio recorders.
