Turbosound Adds the TQ-425SP to Their QLight Series of Enclosures September 29, 2000 Turbosound is showing the TQ-425SP, the latest addition to the company’s critically acclaimed QLight Series of loudspeakers. The QLight Series combines the highest quality audio performance with exceptionally compact and manageable formats. Engineered for theater and corporate/industrial work, as well as fixed installations, the TQ-425SP is a self-powered bass enclosure capable of producing very high SPL’s from a cabinet of its size. The TQ-425SP is a front-loaded sub-bass unit that features a 1600 Watt amplifier, and a pair of 4-inch voice coils with 15-inch drivers. The TQ-425SP can be used to complement existing systems, or as part of a TQ-440SP/TQ-425SP package, resulting in a very powerful sound reinforcement system with wide dynamic range. The frequency response of the TQ-425SP is 45 Hz - 200 Hz ±4dB, and the enclosure measures 32.9" x 20.1" x 24.9". The TQ-425SP is also available in a non-powered format to complement the TQ-440 in conjunction with the LMS-D6 loudspeaker management system. The Turbosound TQ-440SP is a self-powered, three-way, full range enclosure incorporating a custom-designed dual-concentric 12"/1" driver for accurate Advertisement reproduction of bass frequencies, and a 6.5" TurboMid driver for mid and high frequencies. In addition, the TQ-440SP features integral high efficiency power amplifiers, offering exceptional sound quality and unsurpassed ease of use in a compact enclosure. The built-in low frequency and mid/high frequency power amplifiers provide a total power of 800 Watts/4 ohms, and are optimally matched to the drive units. Natural-sounding r.m.s. limiting and dynamic response tailoring offer improved performance and long-term reliability. Outstanding vocal projection and seamless response is made possible by the use of a horn-loaded 6.5" midrange driver operating throughout the critical midrange frequencies. The frequency response of the TQ-440SP is 55 Hz - 20 kHz ±4dB, with dispersion of 60°H x 40°V. The compact TQ-440SP enclosure measures 23" x 16" x 14.5", and is able to achieve extremely high output (maximum SPL 134dB continuous) from an enclosure of its size.
