September 25, 2000Designed to accommodate smaller sound system installations, such as small-to-medium-sized clubs and churches, the new dbx 240 and
241 DriveRacks offer the contractor a cost-effective solution to loudspeaker management.
Housed in single-rack-mount chassis, the 240 and 241 are each equipped with a two-input, four-output Euroblock routing configuration. Both units have
a comprehensive menu of features, including a 31-band graphic or 9-band parametric pre-EQ on each input, two-band parametric post-EQs on all four
outputs, compressor/limiter, post delay of up to 330 milliseconds, and output phase compensation. Crossover options further include a choice of
Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz-Riley types.
In addition, the dbx 240 offers XLR connectors and a feedback suppressor. The 240’s LCD display and front panel controls provide intuitive control of
all editing functions and features. The unit can also be controlled by another 240, or via the included DriveWare software. Software updates can be
downloaded instantly from www.driverack.com.
The dbx 241 features a tamper-proof front panel and can be controlled via either a 240 or the included DriveWare software.
