PRESS RELEASE
BIAS Debuts Deck 2.7 with ASIO Support
September 27, 2000
Advertisement Berkley Integrated Audio Software, Inc. (BIAS) debuts a new version of Deck, their award-winning multitrack digital audio workstation software for Macintosh. Deck 2.7 now supports most ASIO-compatible sound cards, including the MOTU 2408/1224, Event Layla/Gina/Darla, Digidesign, Audio Media III, Lexicon Core 2, and others. ASIO support was originally planned to be included with VST plug-in support in the upcoming next generation of Deck, which is currently in development. However, it was decided to release an ASIO-compatible version of Deck ahead of time. D"A large number of our customers have invested in ASIO hardware because its very affordable and there are so many choices out there," said Steve Berkley, President and CEO of BIAS. "We wanted our customers to be able to take full advantage of their ASIO hardware with our software right now, so we decided to release the ASIO version ahead of time." Pricing and Availability Deck 2.7 is currently in beta testing, and will be released soon. Upgrades to Deck 2.7 are free, and upgrade information will be available at the time of release.
