Logic Audio Becomes Internet Enabled with Version 4.6

From Version 4.6 of Logic Audio Platinum, Logic users from around the
world will be connected via the Internet and able to produce in virtual
online studios. This revolutionary form of global music production
is based on the network technology of Rocket Network and the
transmission protocol that is seamlessly integrated within Logic Audio
Platinum 4.6.
This technology opens the door to a new way forward for music and
audio production:simplified coordination, no time-consuming and
expensive travel, transcontinental production running 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, huge online audio archiving capacities, plus access to a
truly international talent pool.
Online production with Logic Audio
Producing online with Logic Audio 4.6 is simple:
Log in via a web browser or the Rocket Control applet, lease a studio
and start Logic Audio Platinum 4.6. As tracks are recorded and posted,
they are automatically distributed to all other musicians in the studio,
saving time and effort on email, import and file-conversion tasks. The
posted elements can then be freely modified by other authorised studio
participants. There is a chat window for exchanging comments during
production.The Internet recording studio features a “master arrangement” which always reflects the current state of the project and is available on request to
studio members.
Quality of audio transmission
Data transfer between studio members can be compressed or sent at
full-bandwidth (44.1,16-bit). Two levels of data compression are provided by the QDesign CODEC. Studio members have the option of zero
reduction for high quality audio transfers through to heavy reduction for
fast transmission speeds.
