Weiss Releases its First Stereo 24-Bit / 96kHz D/A Converter

"This is another milestone for our company", says Daniel Weiss, President of Weiss Engineering, "during recent years we have received many inquiries from our customers for such a converter, so we finally decided to build one. I am convinced that it will be a great success".

The DAC1 main features are:

  • Input sampling frequencies: 44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 kHz
  • DSP / dual PLL based, highly efficient jitter reduction
  • Virtually zero output impedance
  • Symmetrical output (without degrading servo)
  • Output level range from -infinity dBu to +27 dBu (25 turn trim potentiometer)
  • Four selectable inputs (3 XLR, 1 Toslink)
  • Wordsync output for Master Mode
  • Remote connector for level setting and input source selection
