ART Introduces Model 311 Crossover at AES
October 7, 2002
ART's Model 311 may be used as a stereo 2-way crossover network, and has the addition of the subwoofer output for low-end reinforcement needs. It employs 24dB/ octave state-variable, fourth-order, Linkwitz-Riley filters that guarantee properly phased outputs at all frequencies, which is mandatory for the proper acoustic summing of common signals from adjacent drivers in the crossover region.
Each channel features independent high and low output level controls and crossover frequency rotary control, which covers a wide range (250hz to 6khz). All three outputs have a 30 cycle low cut switch to eliminate low-end rumble.
The subwoofer features an independent output level & rotary control for frequencies in the 50hz to 250 hz range. Front panel phase switches are provided for each channel's output to ease system setup. The rear panel features XLR and 1/4" input connectors. Outputs are sent via 1/4" jacks.
The 311 has an internal power supply, and is enclosed in a durable steel chassis.
The ART Model 311 Crossover has the features needed for a wide variety of crossover applications requiring a subwoofer output. Housed in a rugged all-steel chassis, the Model 311 is designed and manufactured to the highest standards, and has an MSRP of $129.00.
