Mobile I/O Record Panel, Multi-Box Operation Announced

Metric Halo announced today they are releasing software updates incorporating new functionality into the Mobile I/O 2882. Mobile I/O now supports multiple box operation in Macintosh OS X. Multiple Mobile I/O units present on the FireWire bus deliver all inputs and outputs simultaneously to MIO Console, making high channel counts practical and efficient.
MIO Console now features a. record panel for direct to disc recording. The record panel allows for streaming audio to be saved as Sound Designer II files and Audio Interchange File: Format. User can now record simply and easily within MIO Console, and then import the recorded files into their digital audio workstation for editing and processing.
