Sonomic Announces SonoMix Software for Sound Library ManagementNew software tool enables direct import of audio files from Sonomic's Total Library Server into ProTools October 10, 2002
Sonomic debuted the SonoMix software for it's Total Library Server sound management system (www.sonomic.com/server). Developed in partnership with Creative Network Design (www.creativenetworkdesign.com), SonoMix enables Pro Tools professionals to instantly import any audio file in any format from Sonomic's Total Library Server (www.sonomic.com/server) directly into their sessions.
The addition of SonoMix further establishes the Total Library Server as the most comprehensive plug-and-play sound library management system available. With the Total Library Server, a studio's sound FX collection is digitized, categorized and indexed onto a computer server. An intuitive hierarchical category search and a precision "keyword in:" search can be used independently or in combination to instantly deliver pinpoint-accurate results. If the Total Library Server doesn't have a sound that matches the search criteria, it will automatically query and download matching sounds from the 200,000 sound (and growing) Sonomic Online Library.
Once the engineer has auditioned the search results and finds the sounds he needs, SonoMix will immediately convert and spot the selected sounds to specific timecodes and tracks or directly import them into the regions list.
