Trident Audio Introduces the S80 Producer Box

Trident exhibited the new S80 Producer Box at AES 2002. Designed with the original conventional components and assembly methods of the Series 80 console, the S80 offers 2 channels of the console's classic, patented mic pre and EQ.
"The S80 was the first product that I decided to launch the new Trident Audio company with," commented John Oram. "My reasoning for this," Oram continues, "is because the Series 80 has been such a well received product from the concept and so many rooms still have one of these consoles making great records and earning the studio its living. I was also aware of the number of new guys on the block who had great studios and project rooms, but had never really had the chance to work with the Series 80.
So, we took my original circuitry and packaged it into two channels of the EXACT same configuration. To keep it authentic we also chose the same anodised front panel with metal knobs and to finish it off we clad the steel case with American Ash timber."
The S80 Producer Box features two channels of transformer coupled mic pre, +48 volt phantom power, balanced inserts post the mic pre, line input, phase switch, EQ, and pan pots with mutes into two conductive plastic, high quality 100mm faders.
The S80 Producer Box is available now and retails for $3499.
