Digidesign Introduces Pro Tools 5.3.3 for Pro Tools|HD on Windows XP

Digidesign announced Pro Tools TDM 5.3.3 software for Pro Tools|HD on Windows XP is now available. This version of Pro Tools includes many of the features previously released in Pro Tools 5.3.1 software for Macintosh computers. Windows feature additions in Pro Tools 5.3.3 software include:

• Integrated control of PRE – Full remote control via the Pro Tools software interface and Digidesign control surfaces, allowing for the highest fidelity by keeping low-level signals close to the source
• Multi-DSP 48-bit mixer
• Increased SYNC I/O options, including:
• 1% and 4% pull up/pull down at all supported sample rates for import from PAL video to 24P video
• Auto ID of the SYNC I/O for increased ease of configuration
• Loop Sync
• PAL/NTSC video sync switch in software
• Reduced jitter options for chasing LTC

Pro Tools 5.3.3 software for Pro Tools|HD offers Windows XP users improved workflow efficiency through true simultaneous sharing of media assets. Pro Tools|HD users can stream both audio and video from Avid Unity MediaNetwork, the facility-class network for content creators that enables media sharing between Avid picture workstations and Pro Tools audio production systems. In addition, users can benefit from Digidesign's suite of interoperability products: AVoption|XL, FilmFrame, (an option for AVoption|XL), and DigiTranslator.
