PRESS RELEASE
DirectWire Lets You Route Audio Between Windows Apps
October 08, 2002
Advertisement ESI introduced DirectWire at AES, a new feature included in ESI's latest drivers that allows users to internally patch between any audio software programs that use MME (WaveLab, WinAmp), Multi-MME (Sonar, Power DVD), ASIO (Cubase, Reason), and GSIF(GigaStudio). Say "so long" to having to go through an analog stage to transfer tracks between programs. DirectWire is ultra easy to use and appears on your screen in the form of a standard patchbay. A couple of clicks of the mouse and you're patched. DirectWire supports data transfer for audio up to 24-bit/1 92kHz and comes standard with drivers for all ESI 192 Series products. DirectWire is also currently being incorporated into driver updates for older products such as the WaMi Rack 24 and Waveterminal 2496.
