John Oram introduced the S100 8 Channel Mixer under the Trident Audio at the AES Show in Los Angeles. This unit designed initially as a line mixer for the sweetening and warming of digital audio workstations features 8 mic pre's, an EQ like the Series 80 with a filter from the TSM, 5 auxiliary sends and 3 stereo output busses for the assembly of simple surround tracking. These can be configured into 6 mono busses. The unit housed in a self contained free standing 8U rack case has an internal power supply and is finished in the traditional black and silver styling. The output levels are monitored on led bar meters. The list price is $4995 although an introductory deal is being offered on initial sales at the price of $1995. To complement the S100, there is available the S20 Dual Mic Pre with TSM filters, the S40 Channel Strip and the S80 Dual Series 80 Channel clone.
