AKG Announces European-Styled K 101 Headphones

At the 115th AES show, AKG Acoustics introducef its new K
101 high-performance headphones. The K 101 is an open-back
headphone that delivers high-fidelity sound quality with clean, modern
European styling and AKG's patented comfort features.
AKG's K 101 is a lightweight headphone with heavyweight sound thanks to its
new computer-optimized MX20 transducer design. The K 101 has a wide 18 --
22,000 Hz frequency response.
The K 101 features high 101 dB sensitivity and low 19-ohm impedance ensuring
compatibility with any low-output audio device including portable CD
players, MP3 players and notebook computers. This lightweight
design weighs only 160 grams (5.6 oz), making it ideal for use in portable
applications.
The K 101 headphones have AKG's comfort-fit features including a
self-adjusting leather headband that provides automatic adjustment to the
user's head for maximum comfort. The leatherette ear pads are easy to remove
for cleaning. Other features include a single-sided, oxygen-free copper
input cable with gold-plated 1/8-inch plug and screw-on 1/4-inch adaptor for
plug compatibility.
