Audio-Technica has chosen the AES Convention to introduce new UHF antennas and UHF distribution systems. Designed to work with Audio-Technica's 5000 and 4000 Artist Elite Series Wireless Systems as well as other manufacturers' wireless systems, these new accessories are specifically designed to enhance wireless reception in challenging RF environments. The launch of the new UHF antennas and UHF distribution systems further emphasizes Audio-Technica's ongoing commitment to developing products for all segments of the wireless market.
The AEW-DA660D UHF Antenna Distribution System (operating in the 655-680 MHz range) is an active unity-gain antenna distribution system providing two 1-in, 4-out RF channels for connecting a pair of antennas to as many as four diversity receivers. A cascade output is provided as a directional coupler to drive additional distribution amps. The unit also features defeatable antenna power and AC pass-through capability that allows daisy-chain AC hookup. The rugged metal chassis mounts in a single 19" rack space, and has reinforced mounting ears and rear rack-mount capability. The AEW-DA660D includes a detachable IEC power cable, IEC pass-through cable, ten RF cables, and front-mount antenna cables and connectors for easy system integration. Also included are four DC power cables to power up to four
Audio-Technica 3000 Series receivers.
The ATW-A49 UHF Wideband Directional Log Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) has also been added to the growing line of A-T wireless accessories. Operating in the 440-900 MHz range, the ATW-A49 provides enhanced signal pickup, 6 dB gain, and comes standard with 5/8-inch-27 thread mounting hardware for permanent wall-mount installation or attaching to a microphone stand. Further, each paddle is matched to 50 ohms impedance with an integral high-quality low-loss BNC connector.
The new Audio-Technica AEW-DA660D UHF Antenna Distribution System will be available late fall 2003 with an MSRP of $959.00. The ATW-A49 UHF Wideband Directional Log Periodic Dipole Array will also be available in late fall 2003 with an MSRP of $398.00.
