The DPA IMK4061 Instrument Microphone Kit is the latest addition to one of the most extensive lines of miniature microphones and accessories currently available.
The IMK4061 Instrument Microphone Kit is designed to solve virtually all the problems of close miking for a wide variety of musical instruments, from double bass to accordion.
The kit consists of a DPA miniature microphone, the 4061, and an XLR adapter, with a selection of mounting accessories. These accessories include holders to attach the mic to stringed instruments such as violin and cello; universal surface mounts with double sided tape for use with guitars, wind instruments, drums and percussion; a magnet holder for attaching the mic to drum rims or the frames of pianos, and foam windscreens.
At the heart of the IMK is the DPA 4061 miniature microphone, which produces a very clean, detailed and natural sound quality, and can handle up to 144 dB peak before clipping, allowing the microphone to be used even for snare drums, trumpets, guitar/bass speaker cabinets or other high SPL sound sources. This mic can be placed at the user's discretion, ensuring authentic recordings in the studio or amplification in the live environment.
With the DPA adapter system, it is possible to use the 4061 with virtually any professional wireless system.
