FireWire Module Created for Prism Sound's ADA-8 Interface

The Prism Sound ADA-8 multi-channel ADDA converter range adds a Firewire (IEEE1394) interface module compatible with the latest Apple OS/X (a.k.a. Panther) operating system. Support is also planned for Windows XP.
The new module allows ADA-8 to operate with software such as Emagic Logic Audio V6, Apple's Final Cut Pro and many other applications. In this configuration, the ADA-8 can provide 8 channels of AES/EBU digital and analog input and output at sample rates up to 96kHz.
The ADA-8 provides flexibility for a wide range of PC and MAC-based recording, editing and sequencing systems including Digidesign Pro-Tools Mix & Pro-Tools HD, Logic Audio, Final Cut Pro and many others. In addition to Firewire, ADA-8 interfaces include AES, Pro-Tools MIX/HD and DSD. Connection to Pro-Tools is direct to the Mix or Core card, eliminating the Pro-Tools I/O hardware.
The ADA-8 also allows conversion between its various interface formats, such as for example interfacing to and from DSD (Direct Stream Digital) and PCM systems such as Pro-Tools or Emagic Logic Audio or simply converting between AES and DSD.
