October 13, 2003

At AES, A Designs introduced ATTY, an in-line level controller for mono/stereo audio signals. The intended use is to obtain more control over powered desktop speakers and amplified units which have no output control, such as mic pres, power amps or speakers in a series. ATTY has two Neutrik combo input jacks (1/4" inch XLRs) for true stereo and two balanced output XLRs. There is a level control knob and a "panic button" used for those moments when an immediate response is required. The "panic button" is a mute switch which will short the signal until full control is regained. ATTY was designed to protect the end user's investment in quality speakers. It is a cost-effective tool for all desktop musicians who have experienced system failures and replacement of expensive speaker diaphragms after they have blown. ATTY is small and compact. It measures 2" x 3" x 5" and is designed for easy placement, anywhere. The weight is 2.5 pounds. MSRP is $95.00 usd. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.adesignsaudio.com/.
