P1000, P1500, P3000, and P4000 Power Amps from Hafler

October 14, 2003

P3000
P4000

Hafler featured its P4000, P3000 and P1500 amplifiers at the 115th AES Convention.

P4000 Trans-nova DIAMOND

The P4000 Trans-nova DIAMOND (Dynamic Invariant AMplification Optimized Nodal Drive) designed for the studio market is a 200 watt per channel @ 8 ohm convection cooled amplifier. It features Professor Jim Strickland's Trans-nova circuitry and his DIAMOND TRANSconductance driver stage, which combines the linearity of Class A operation with the current headroom of Class B. The P4000 also features full LED display, gain controls, balanced inputs, and lateral MOSFET output devices.

P1500 Trans-nova and P3000 Trans-nova

The P1500 Trans-nova and the P3000 Trans-nova are designed for studio monitoring, touring sound and fixed installations. The P1500 offers 75 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 85 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 170 watts mono at 8 ohms. The P3000 offers 150 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 400 watts mono at 8 ohms. Featuring Trans-nova topology, the P1500 and P3000 offer high lateral MOSFETs, and fast slew rate at 100 volts per microsecond. These units also offer quiet balanced circuitry, unique electronic fuse with no loss in audio quality, precise imaging, depth and soundstage, 3.25-inch rack mountability, and five-way binding post output connectors. New LED indicators allow the operator to visually monitor the operating status of each channel. The thermal and short lights indicate when these protection circuits have been activated. The clip indicator assists in protecting the speakers by showing when the amp is overdriven and the output signal is distorted. The signal indicator light shows the presence of an audio signal.

P1000 Trans-ana

The P1000 is designed for broadcast studio monitoring, recording or critical listening, headphone system amplification, surround sound applications, paging systems, balanced or unbalanced use, and 115V/230V requirements. The unique circuitry of the unit is based on TRANSconductance Active Nodal Amplifier topology, which operates the output stage with its full voltage gain, allowing the input stage to operate from a low voltage regulated supply. The signal is then shifted up in level to the high voltage section by the driver stage, which forms an active node at ultrasonic frequencies.

These Hafler amps include five-year warranties.
