Digidesign Announces Pro Tools 6.6 with Avid Mojo Support

Digidesign has announced Pro Tools TDM 6.6, providing capture and playback of Avid video with the Avid Mojo.
With Pro Tools TDM 6.6 on Mac OS X, Avid Mojo and the DigiTranslator option (all purchased separately), users can:
- Import and play back uncompressed video, DV25 and DVC Pro, 15:1 single-frame JFIF, and even several 24P/25P progressive-scan resolutions
- Output composite, S-video or component video to an NTSC or PAL monitor (optional component I/O cable available from the Avid Web store)
- Install Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 on the same host CPU for capture, editing, and layback of video
- View Editor's video cuts and clip names in the Pro Tools timeline
- Tab from cut to cut for easy navigation to the head of each scene
- Frame-accurate scene selection with a simple double-click of the video clip
Pro Tools users will be able to purchase Avid Mojo directly from their Digidesign dealer, either by itself or bundled with Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 software for fully automated capture of audio and video, layback to tape or export of digital movies.
In addition to the new Avid Mojo support, users who synchronize Pro Tools|HD systems to external time code will see workflow acceleration through improved record startup times, improved lock-up times, and tighter integration with a variety of controllers, including Soundmaster ION, Colin Broad, Tamura, JSK, and others.
Pro Tools 6.6 is available as a free download for Pro Tools TDM 6.4 owners with Mac OS X-based systems.
