Building upon their H8000, Eventide's H8000A is an eight-channel processor designed specifically to give operators in live performance environments maximum flexibility with four analog and four digital AES I/O channels. "Our customers who used the H8000 in live settings reveled in its power and performance but needed more analog I/O," said Ray Maxwell, Eventide vice president of sales and marketing. "

The H8000A features four channels of 24-bit analog I/O with a dynamic range of greater than 110dB via XLR and 1/4" TRS. The H8000A also offers four channels of AES/EBU, ADAT and S/PDIF, all 24-bit. The H8000A is the culmination of thirty-three years of effects development and comes loaded with nearly fifteen hundred of Eventide's best preset-algorithms.

MIDI Virtual Racks offer the user up to five stereo or mono effects processors combined, allowing up to fifty individual parameter settings to be linked up to 10 preset parameter changes, within the preset-algorithm, without any program change latency. Presets navigation is vastly improved by the new search functionality allowing sort by number, effect type, source type, or alphabetically. Every preset is a unique combination of effects chosen from Eventide's library of over 230 unique effects modules, connected together in particular configurations via its Building Block Effects Architecture, and is finely crafted for a particular function or effect. Users can modify the preset-algorithms, or create their own unique algorithms using the front panel or utilizing VSIG, Eventide's shareware PC graphic editor/development tool.
