Trillium Lane Labs announced TL Aggro and TL AutoPan, new effects plug-ins for the Digidesign Pro Tools platform.

TL Aggro brings the personality of analog-style compression to Pro Tools, with musical compression modeled on vintage FET compressors. At moderate settings, TL Aggro is designed to sound smooth and transparent, for vocals and acoustic instruments. Crank TL Aggro up for maximum aggressiveness and it instantly adds character and intensity to guitars and drum tracks. The DSP algorithms in TL Aggro use a feedback topology with a program dependent release time which yields more natural compression characteristics according to the company. TL Aggro also provides optional low frequency compensation, intended for compressing full mixes or bass instruments, and support for linked stereo operation.

TL AutoPan takes Pro Tools stereo and surround effects processing into the 21st century, with an armada of panning effects based on classic analog panning units. The tempo synchronization, trigger and envelope detection features first seen in TL EveryPhase now power TL AutoPan's rhythmic panning effects ranging from the subtle to the extreme. TL AutoPan includes graphic metering of output and pan position for precise control of panning effects.
