Chandler Limited is expanding on their current designs by introducing updates and new features for two of their products: the TG Channel and the Mini Mixer.
Chandler now offers custom modifications to its Mini Mixer. Customers can now request a Mini Mixer with configurations from four to 32 channels, with or without the control room section, and even custom switches.
The reason for such a high level of flexibility is simple according to Chandler designer Wade Goeke, "Everyone seems to want something different, and we'd like to accommodate them with out having them break the bank."
The first custom Mini Mixer was made for Michael Beinhorn who replaced his existing large format console in his studio with a 32 channel version of the Mini Mixer. Chandler modified the pan pots from 6dB to 3dB and added a toggle switch to remove the pan pot from the signal path (as is commonly found in certain API and Neve consoles).
Chandler's latest version of TG Channel, appropriately called the TG Channel MKII, is the third product update in the Abby Road Special Edition line of products.
The new features on the TG Channel MKII include a DI, additional mid boost band and a five position low cut filter. The TG Channel MKII will also use the same TG style knobs that are featured on the new Chandler Mini Mixer. All owners of the original TG Channel can have their unit upgraded to the new MKII version for a nominal fee either through their local dealer or through the factory.
