JBL Offers VRX Line Arrays in White
October 7, 2005
Bringing more options to installers wishing to visually integrate their audio systems into a variety of environments, JBL Professional is now offering its successful VRX portable line array series in white installation versions.
Significant interest from specifiers and permanent installation contractors who work with civic facilities and house-of-worship venues has led to the development of the popular VRX system models in white: VRX932LA-WH and VRX918S-WH.
The VRX932LA-WH is a compact 12-inch, two-way line array loudspeaker designed for arrays of up to six units. Each speaker has a 15-degree (nominal) vertical coverage angle. This means that a single enclosure or arrays consisting of 2 or 3 speakers can provide consistent, cost effective and therefore practical vertical coverage to permanent installations where line arrays are applicable. Its design features patented technology in both the horn design and in JBL's innovative Differential Drive low-frequency transducers for light weight and high power handling.
The VRX918S-WH subwoofer is an 18-inch low-frequency speaker system, also utilizing JBL Differential Drive technology. It is intended for use as a high-performance satellite subwoofer or as a building block for larger arrays. Acoustically identical to the SRX718S, the VRX918S-WH is designed to meet the needs of users who wish to incorporate white-finished subwoofers into permanently installed flying VRX arrays. This is accomplished through suspension hardware modeled on the same innovative design used for the VRX Series VRX932LA-WH.
