New ADB Series Consoles from Toft Audio Designs October 11, 2005
Toft Audio Designs announced this week new consoles based on Malcolm Toft's early designs for Trident Audio Developments.
Dubbed the ADB (pun intended) the new boards will mimic the look and share many of the features of it's "namesake", the Trident 80B, but will be built on a smaller scale, for integration into DAW based systems.
The first model (ADB-16) will be 16 X 8 X 2, with inline monitoring, allowing a total of 56 inputs during mixdown. 24 and 32 channel versions are slated to follow shortly thereafter.
Other features include high quality Burr-Brown mic preamplifiers, 100mm faders, 4 Auxiliary Sends, real 80B EQ (the same circuit as the legendary console) , and an optional Digital Card, with 8 channels of 24Bit A/D and D/A, Firewire, ADAT, SPDIF, Word Clock, and MIDI implementation.
