Bob Ludwig Hosts The AES Platinum Mastering Panel
October 6, 2006
On Saturday, Oct. 7 from noon to 1:30PM, multi-Platinum mastering engineer Bob Ludwig will host one of the most anticipated panels of the AES Convention. With credits ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Black Eyed Peas Steely Dan, Eric Clapton and Ray Charles, the participants in this panel represent some of the most music industry's most successful creatives.
The record business has been rapidly devolving from the relatively stable pre-iPod paradigm into one of merged record companies, slashed budgets, vanishing artist development and the rebirth of the indie labels and independent artists.
AES' all-star panel of mastering engineers will discuss their current projects and highlight how their jobs have changed over the past few years in reaction to the sea change the industry is experiencing. Is high-resolution audio still viable?
