Sonic Studio Poised To Launch, Demo, And Preview New Professional Solutions
October 6, 2006
San Francisco, a favorite travel destination, is once again hosting the Audio Engineering Society and their 121st Convention. Participation by Sonic Studio, LLC affords an opportunity for the firm to launch new products, demonstrate upcoming offerings, and provide a glimpse at future technologies of note.
The company will provide the first public showing of several new items. A brief look at their show highlights include:
- The announcement of PreMaster CD 2.0
- The announcement of Broadband DeNoise native
- The announcement of soundBlade 1.0.1
- The announcement of reNOVAtor 1.0 for soundBlade
- Ongoing demonstrations of current products including the nexStage DSD line of post-production tools and the Series 300 DSP I/O Processors
- Technology demonstrations of upcoming hardware, software & partner products
For starters, Sonic Studio will demonstrate version 2.0 of the unique premastering package for Mac OS, PreMaster CD. Now in its second major release, PMCD 2.0 adds the options that more demanding jobs require, DDP File Open and the Manual DeClick option of NoNOISE II. The DDP DDP File Open option lets mastering engineers read existing DDP file sets for modification and repurposing. Manual DeClick is the singular restoration tool preferred by Hollywood film studios and discriminating re-mastering engineers everywhere.
Bringing another component of the award-winning NoNOISE toolkit to desktops, Sonic Studio will be showing their first real-time module in the NoNOISE native line. Broadband DeNoise native delivers the vanishingly low artifacts only NoNOISE II can provide, with real-time operation and a very affordable price.
Also making its first showing is version 1.0.1 of soundBlade, a complete mastering application for Mac OS. The application provides multitrack editing for stereo delivery and, as with all of Sonic Studio's creations, preserves both the highest fidelity possible with a workflow and feature set honed by their legacy of delivering pioneering workstations. Version 1.0.1 provides improvements to speed, versatility and stability.
Another boon for harried professionals is the premier of Algorithmix's reNOVAtor for soundBlade. reNOVAtor, a frequency-selective restoration tool with unmatched power, will be available in a new, hi-fi version for the high fidelity soundBlade platform.
On the product horizon, Sonic Studio will be demonstrating their much anticipated option for large scale, multichannel PCM work. In keeping with prior technology demonstrations at the 120th AES last May, the company will be running examples of new multichannel hardware and experimental software modules for restoration alongside must-have wares from our development partners.
