TASCAM SS-R05 Lower The Entry Price For Solid State Recorders

TASCAM announces the SS-R05 solid state recorder for installation, live recording and playback. Like TASCAM's best-selling SS-R1 and SS-CDR1, the SS-R05 rackmount recorder captures to compact flash media with no moving parts for maximum reliability. The entry-level recorder removes features from the SS-R1, like balanced audio and RS-232C control, to create a new low-price model.

The SS-R05 is available from TASCAM retailers at an estimated street price under $500, yet retains the features and reliability contractors rely on:

• Solid state recording to Compact Flash media
• One-rack-space compact design
• Records in WAV or MP3 format to CF Card
• 44.1kHz and 48kHz recording at 16 or 24-bit
• Edit tracks using rename, delete, divide and combine
• Varispeed ±16%
• Unbalanced RCA line input and output
• S/PDIF coaxial digital in and out with sample rate converter
• Power on play
• Auto track increment (level or time)
• PS/2 keyboard input for folder/file naming and remote control
• Wired remote control
