| Digidesign and Drawmer Now Shipping Drawmer Dynamics Plug-In

Drawmer and Digidesign are pleased to announce that the Drawmer Dynamics TDM Plug-In is now shipping to customers world-wide. Drawmer developed this digital dynamics package exclusively for Digidesign's Pro Tools/TDM platform. The Drawmer Dynamics TDM Plug-In incorporates frequency conscious noise gating, expansion, compression, and limiting in one package. The Plug-In will be distributed by Digidesign world-wide.
The Drawmer Dynamics TDM Plug-In is based on Drawmer's industry-standard DS201 Noise Gate and DL241/DL251 Expander/Compressor/Limiter hardware units. The gate includes such innovative features as variable high-pass and low-pass filters to facilitate "frequency conscious" gating, key inputs with "key listen" facility, ducking, and sidechain input capability. A variable ratio expander incorporating Drawmer's Programme Adaptive Circuitry is also featured. The compressor includes selectable "manual" or "fully automatic" attack and release times and "zero overshoot" transparent limiting.
Technical Principal Ivor Drawmer says of his company's first software-based project, "Audio professionals who are familiar with the DS201 and DL241 will instinctively feel at home with our Plug-In, whilst those new to Drawmer products will find it intuitive and powerful."
