TUBE-TECH Introduces CL 2A Dual Compressor

TUBE-TECH is demonstrating the new all tube based, CL 2A dual channel opto compressor. The CL 2A is a two space unit that in essence combines two of Tube Tech's classic CL 1B compressors into a single unit, and features a gain reduction element that has no long term degradation and almost infinite life.
As an added enhancement over the original CL 1B technology, the CL 2A offers input impedance of 5kOhms allowing for compatibility and ease of use in professional, semi-professional and project studio environments. The two channels of the compressor are linkable for stereo operation and multiple units can be linked together via the sidechain interconnect sockets provided on the rear panel.
Additional features include continuously variable or fixed attack and release times, a tube (valve) push-pull amplifier, clickless relays for switching the compressors in and out, and balanced, floating inputs and outputs.
Technical specifications include frequency response from 5Hz to 80kHz, output impedance of 60 Ohms, compression ratio 2:1 to 10:1, threshold -20dBm to off, and gain - off to +10dB. Suggested retail price of the CL 2A is $3195. |
