Westlake Audio Announces Lc3w10 and Lc3w12 Monitor Speakers

Westlake Audio, the leader in highquality audio products for more than 25 years, announces the two latest addition to its popular Lc monitor speaker series--the 3-way bookshelf Lc3w10 and Lc3w12 Monitor Speaker Systems at the 105th AES Convention, held from September 26 to 29 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, Booth 1061. The compact Lc3w10 and Lc3w12 offer extensive electro-mechanical-acoustical dampening, integrated passive crossover for single or bi-amp operation and tremendous output.
"With the Lc3w10 and Lc3w12, our popular Lc monitor speaker series now expands from two-way designs to three-way designs," explains Ken Centofante, sales and marketing director for Westlake Audio. "Both the Lc3w10 and its big brother, the Lc3w12, are compact yet pack a great punch and are perfect for those who are looking for a compact monitor with high output and wide bandwidth."
The Lc3w10 (12.25"W x 21.5"H x 13.375"D)--which joins the 6.75, 265.1 and 8.1 in the Lc series-is comprised of a 10-inch polypropylene woofer, a five-inch midrange and a 3/4-inch tweeter with an 80 watt power handling capacity and sensitivity of 88 dB @ 1M for 2.83V input. The Lc3w10's frequency response is 42-20 kHz with an impedance level of 5 ohms nominal/3 ohms minimum with dual banana, five-way binding posts and bi-wire/bi-amp capability. At 69 lbs., the Lc3w10 comes finished with a black utility paint and a one-year warranty.
"The Lc3w10 is ideal for near- to mid-field listening situations," explains Centofante. "This speaker is perfect for recording and post production studios or just about any other application because of their size and incredible performance."
The Lc3w12 (15"W x 25"H x 15.5"D)-which also joins the 6.75, 265.1 and 8.1 in the Lc series-is comprised of a 12-inch paper woofer, a six-inch midrange and a 1-inch dome tweeter with an 100 watt power handling capacity and sensitivity of 91 dB @ 1M for 2.83V input. The Lc3w12's frequency response is 40-18 kHz with an impedance level of 4 ohms nominal/3 ohms minimum with dual banana, five-way binding posts and bi-wire/bi-amp capability. At 107 lbs., the Lc3w12 also comes finished with a black utility paint and a one-year warranty.
"The Lc3w12 is also perfect for near- to mid-field listening situations, but is for those who need a little more power and have a little more space, although they are compact enough to fit in most any studio or post production facility," explains Centofante.
