Cubase 3.0 Virtual Studio Technology for Power Macintosh

Steinberg presents a breathtaking new technology at Frankfurt Musik Messe 1996: VST (Virtual Studio Technology) turns a Power PC into a complete recording and production environment. Based on Apple's Power PC technology Charlie Steinberg developed the fist recording studio in a box as an out of box solution. Up to 32 tracks of Digital Audio ind CD Quality, up to 128 EQs in realtime, a professional effects rack featuring 4 multi-effects processors and a PlugIn interface for external audio processing. VST is embedded into the Cubase Realtime Technology featuring MIDI-sequencing professional scorelayout and -printing.

Total Automation:

Every fader movement, pans, EQ settings and effects parameters are fully automated.

Cubase Audio VST is prepared for the future. The PlugIn interface supports the use of external PlugIns for audio processing as DeClicking or DeNoising etc. Several well known producers of PlugIns already ensured to support VST.

From March, 1996, VST will be included into all Pro Levels of Cubase for Power PC:

  • Cubase Audio xt 3.0 incl. VST and TDM support
  • Cubase Score 3.0 incl. VST
  • Cubase 3.0 incl. VST

There are special Update and Upgrade offers up to the new technologies. Cubase Users should contact their dealers immediately.
