F7 Sound and Vision Ships CONCEPT:FX
October 4, 1997F7 Sound and Vision announced that its first product, CONCEPT:FXTM is now
shipping. CONCEPT:FX is a CD-ROM that contains 195 royalty-free sound
effects for both the PC and Macintosh computer platforms. CONCEPT:FX
features sounds that are abstract and distinctive targeting individuals
and businesses who work in the audio, video and multimedia production
industries and who are looking for a "sonic edge" in their projects.
All 195 sounds on CONCEPT:FX are in AIFF and WAV formats. In addition,
each sound comes in 3 resolutions: Broadcast, 44.1kHz, 16 bit;
Multimedia, 22.05kHz, 16 bit, and Internet, 11.025kHz, 8 bit, mono. The
inclusion of the lower resolution sounds adds versatility to CONCEPT:FX
by minimizing the need to sample rate convert and by having "lo-fi"
versions of the sounds. These "lo-fi" sounds are also great for
Industrial and Techno projects where more "grit" is desired in the
samples.
