E-mu Systems and Newfire Collaborate to Provide Professional-quality Audio to Game Developers Worldwide

Technology Alliance Enables New Game Titles to Scream with Premier Sound Technology

E-mu Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF), and Newfire, Inc. today announced that they are collaborating to provide game developers with the most advanced digital sound and graphics for nextgeneration entertainment. As part of the alliance, the two companies plan to optimize Newfire's CatalystTM and TorchTM game tools for Creative Labs' AWE64 Gold audio card, E-mu's current SoundFont® technology, as well as for future proquality audio solutions from E-mu Systems. The alliance will enable game developers of all sizes to incorporate professional-quality audio content into new titles and entertainment content, without the need for extensive audio programming.
