Audiotrix 3D-XG Sound Card Awarded Prestigious Fat Seal

Mediatrix announced today that the Audiotrix 3D-XG has passed the Fat Man's
rigorous compatibility tests and has been awarded The Fat Seal from Fat Labs,
Inc., the leading Sound Card Testing and Certification Facility for hardware
manufactures.
The seal signifies that the Audiotrix 3D-XG is recommended by The Fat Man
for use with software containing General MIDI music. This certification
process is necessary because not all General MIDI music played back on
General MIDI hardware sounds the way the composer intended the music to
sound. Mediatrix has supported the initiative of The Fat Man and his
efforts to strengthen the General MIDI standard to ensure end users hear
the music exactly as it was intended to be heard by the composer.

Audiotrix 3D-XG features professional quality MIDI rendering, full-duplex
digital audio, cross platform support and compatibility with all major PC
sound standards. The card also offers expanded sound effects processing
with high quality digital effects on MIDI data as well as on all other
inputs (Mic, Wave, Line-In, CD Audio). Further sound processing includes
Yamaha's proprietary 3D YMersion sound.
The XG synthesizer of the Audiotrix 3D-XG provides an incredible 676
voices, and 21 drum kits while supplying 32-note polyphony and 16-part
multi-timbrality. On-board effects include reverb (11 types), chorus (11
types) and other variations (42 types).
