TC Electronic DBMAX II Digital Broadcast Maximizer Ships April 6, 1998The recent release of the DBMAXII, Digital Broadcast
Maximizer, has provided a clear solution for broadcasters faced with the
challenges of modern audio production, according to Ed Simeone, Managing
Director of U.S. Operations.
"We've had a great response from the broadcast industry since the first
shipment of DBMAX IIs ," commented Simeone. "There are units already being
used live, on the air, 24 hours a day throughout the country by everyone
from local radio to the big networks."
The DBMAX II features 24 bit A/D and D/A converters, an auto hardware
analog signal bypass function (allowing signal to pass through even if the
unit is off), a new EQ with a multiband clipper function, 5 bands of
expansion, compression and limiting, a new adaptive automatic gain
controller, all combined with the ability to simultaneously insert multiple
signal processing functions both pre and post. It is FM, AM, TV, and DAB
compatible and shipped to conform to all major standards worldwide, and
offers optimized broadcast-specific presets such as commercials, talk
shows, news, and all music types. Retail price of the DBMAX II Digital
Broadcast Maximizer is $3,995. For more information, contact TC Electronic
