Behringer UltraMatch SRC2000 Sample Rate Converter and Signal Conditioner
April 15, 1998An affordable multi-function device that can easily be characterized as the "the Digital Swiss Army Knife" based on its extraordinary versatility, the cost-effective new UltraMatch SRC2000 from Behringer is a real-time sample rate converter, digital signal conditioner and "jitter killer."
The ultimate in functionality, the UltraMatch allows DAT recorders, samplers, hard disk recorders, CD players and mixers with any standard type of stereo digital connector to communicate with each other. It has three switchable inputs and three parallel outputs (AES/EBU on balanced XLRs, consumer SPDIF on RCA connectors and Optical connectors).
Selectable 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 32 kHz formats allow the user to record and master at 48 kHz, then make a digitally copied 44.1 kHz CD-ready master as a final product. Ingenious circuitry improves the quality of a digital audio signal be reducing errors caused by tape dropout or removing "jitter" from any recording.
External synchronizing capability is provided via a BNC wordclock input. De-Emphasis can be selectively applied or the unit can be synced to an external clock. All settings can be edited and stored for future use. Other useful features include the capability to function as a digital patchbay and upgradeable architecture for future enhancements.
Suggested retail list price for the UltraMatch is $249. To find out more about Behringer, please call (516) 364-2244, fax (516) 364-3888 or write to: Samson Technologies Corp., P.O. Box 9031, Syosset, NY 11791-9031. For more information visit Behringer at www.behringer.com. |
