Alvarez Introduces New Electric Guitars and
Basses

Alvarez Guitars has announced the introduction of the ASG and AEB series of
solid body guitars and basses. The new Alvarez guitars and basses feature specifications
normally found on instruments in much higher price categories.
The ASG line of electric guitars features custom contoured, solid alder bodies,
and are equipped with nickel hardware, and high-output alnico magnet pickups.
All Alvarez electric guitars feature reverse wound center pickups for hum cancellation,
and a unique tone compensation circuit which maintains high frequencies when the
volume control is turned down.
The ASG Model 2 features a vintage profile maple neck with a 21 fret, rosewood
fingerboard. Also included, the Wilkinson vibrato bridge delivers balanced, articulate
tone along with optimum tuning stability. Neck and center single coil pickups
are matched with a bridge position humbucker, which automatically spits to a single
coil when combined with the center pickup. The ASG Model 2 is priced at $459.00,
and is available in Surf Green and Purple Hayes, and at $489.00 with a quilted
maple top in Black Cherry or Amber Burst.
The ASG Model 3 is a traditional favorite, featuring a classic, round profile,
one piece maple neck, and three staggered pole, alnico, single coil pickups. The
vintage bridge and nickel tuners offer superb tuning stability and classic styling.
The ASG3 is available in Vintage White (w/ tortoise shell pickguard), Burgundy
Metallic, and 3-Tone Sunburst, and retails for $379.00.
The ASG Model 4 features a custom beveled, single cutaway body of solid alder,
matched with a one-piece maple neck and is fitted with nickel Kluson-style tuners.
With a master volume and tone control, and a 5-way switch, the ASG4 utilizes a
vintage alnico bridge-mounted lead pickup and neck and center rhythm pickups,
for a broad range of sonic options. The ASG4 retails at $379.00 and is available
in Gold Metallic, Red Metallic, and Black.
The new Alvarez AEB Series of basses are available in 4, 5, and 6 string versions,
featuring quilted maple tops and dual enhanced fidelity humbucking pickups. With
graphite reinforced necks and heavy duty hardware, the AEB4 ($539.00), AEB5 ($639.00),
and AEB6 ($899.00) are available in Black Cherry, Amber Burst, and Purple Burst.
