Alvarez-Yairi has announced two new additions to their masterworks series:
the FY200C Masterworks Orchestra Model (OM) Style Cutaway and the CY200S Masterworks
Classical Guitar.
For more than 60 years the Yairi family has pursued the art of guitar, using
time honored materials and techniques. In a computerized era, Yairi chooses to
build guitars by hand, resulting in instruments that preserve truly unique sonic
and cosmetic qualities.
The Alvarez-Yairi CY200S Classical guitar features hand shaped braces and a
AAA Grade solid spruce top, augmenting tone and projection. The Solid Indian Rosewood
back and sides are finished with a natural lacquer allowing wood to breath, and
it's one piece Mahogany neck is linked to the body using a traditional dove tail
neck joint. Hardshell case is included.
Cousin to the FY200, the FY200C features a AAA, solid spruce top with hand
shaped braces, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, and natural lacquer finish.
With an extremely balanced sound, the FY200C is ideal for recording or performing
with microphones. It's wider nut (1.75") and longer scale (25.5") help
ensure a full tone, borne by increased string tension. Plus, it's cutaway folk
body ensures players maximum reach on higher frets. Patented by Yairi, the FY200C
guitar features a direct-coupled Ebony bridge, utilizing an expanded capability
of the guitar's wood and creating a broad, even sounding sonic and tonal range.
Also included are gold die cast tuners, and a maple binding on the body, neck
and headstock. Hardshell case is included.
All Alvarez-Yairi guitars are hand crafted and retain a limited lifetime warranty.
