Peter Linsener has released RM 2, the second generation of sample based rythm modules for VST 2.0 hosts. But it's
much more than just a sample player. The RM 2 is based on the creative potential of the Rupsta
gamma sample player, but has more professional features added - e.g. a LM-4 drum kit import.
RM 2 is a rythm sample player featuring 18 pads with up to 32 samples each. It is 24-voice polyphonic
(cpu dependent) and has a stereo as well as 6 individual outs. The sounds are based on standard WAV
or AIFF files (up to 32 bit / 96kHz) that can be loaded direct from the instruments front panel. The sound
may be adjusted in volume and panning and may be tuned within a range of +- 2 octaves.
Enormous creative options are offered by the specialized attack-hold-decay envelopes for volume and
pitch. Samples may be layered up to 32 layers or split into 32 velocity zones or a mixture of both
arrangements. Alltogether up to 576 samples can be loaded and individually triggered.
On the front panel there are pads to trigger the samples, muting- and solo-switches for easy adjustment
of the drum kit and direct access to various choke options. Any parameter may be controlled with any
external hardware controllers imagineable, due to our unique ECS ('Easy Controller Setup').
RM 2 allows export and import of complete drum kits in it's own drum kit format. Furthermore all drum
kits of the popular Rupsta alpha, Rupsta gamma, Steinberg LM-9 and LM-4 are fully supported. This means that all those high quality LM-4 kits - including all (:wizoo:)-kits - can be loaded into the RM 2.
Timing is sample accurate and automation and postprocessing functions of VST2.0 compatible
host software are supported.
System requirements: A VST2.0 capable host software and a PC with at least 266MHz.
The license fee is US$45. RM 2 is available at the LinPlug online shop. The upgrade for registered Rupsta gamma users is free For more information, visit their web site at www.linplug.de. |
