August 7, 2000FXpansion Audio today announced that the innovative Series One VST plug-in effects are now available for Macintosh as well as PC users. Series One Bundle is a collection of six effects plug-ins - RingModulator, Autopole, Phat.Sync, MTap, MidiComb, and Vocoder - ideal for sound designers, dance / electronic musicians, and engineers.
RingModulator:
A great-sounding digital model of the ring modulator modules found on many classic modular synths. For Dalek-style voice morphing, insane beat warping and metallic, alien textures, RingModulator is ideal. An onboard envelope generator, LFO, and a flexible modulation system, complete the package.
Autopole: A flexible dual filter bank. Features two true-stereo multimode 12dB filters (linkable as a single 24dB filter), stereo envelope generator and multimode LFO. Capable of everything from subtle tone control to bubbling resonant madness! Phat.Sync:
A three-way analogue modelled filter with onboard auto-syncing step sequencers. Control cutoff, resonance and "glide" over sixteen discrete steps; Phat.Sync auto-detects your sequencer's tempo clock and stays in perfect time.
MTap:
Four delay lines, automatic tempo matching, high and low pass filters on every channel and a unique dual-buss feedback path make this one of the most flexible and intuitive delay plug-ins on the market, yet one of the most affordable.
MidiComb:
A truly unique effect, available nowhere else. Featuring a polyphonic comb-filter array under MIDI note control; the note-data is used to set the length, and hence the "pitch", of the comb resonators. Playable in realtime, it enables you to transform sounds by applying a system of resonant chords.
Robotik Vocoder: Thanks to its ultra-efficient design, this powerful 24-band vocoder delivers great sound quality, yet uses only around 15% of a 350MHz G3 in realtime.
FXpansion Series One Bundle is priced at $100.00, making it suitable for computer musicians at any level; individual effects are available for $35.00. The high-resolution internal processing (32/64 bit, up to 96KHz) means great sound quality for all. For more information, visit their web site at www.fxpansion.com or email info@fxpansion.com |
